Why We Started THe ReWild Society
For nearly all of human history, humans lived embedded in tribes and nature, regulated by the presence of other people, sunlight, seasonal rhythm, and movement. Our nervous systems evolved within those conditions. At a cellular level, they're still calibrated to them.
Modern life has quietly removed almost all of it. We're isolated indoors, overstimulated, under artificial light, and chronically alone in ways our biology was never designed to handle. The result isn't weakness. It's evolutionary mismatch. A widening gap between the environment your biology expects and the one you actually live in.
Most people try to close that gap through optimization: better sleep, meditation apps, supplements. All useful and important! However, none of it fully works, because none of it addresses the actual deficit.
The ReWild Society exists to close that gap. We are built on a simple premise rooted in biology: humans evolved in nature, in community, and in rhythm. When those things are absent, we pay for it. We exist to bring them back by creating a space for people to connect outside, put the screens away, and “be” in the presence of other people who feel the same longing for deeper, authentic human connection.
The Team Behind the Connection
TINA DAVIS
Tina’s path to ReWild began with her own 14-year healing journey through Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis, an autoimmune condition that led her to explore a wide range of physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual healing modalities. Along the way, she learned that while personal growth requires deep inner work, true healing was never meant to happen in isolation.
Through her own experience, Tina came to understand community as one of the most essential pillars of wellness. No matter how committed we are to becoming healthier, happier, and more whole, the journey becomes lighter, more meaningful, and far more joyful when we walk it alongside others.
That belief is what inspired her to create The ReWild Society: a space for like-minded individuals who are on their own path of healing, self-discovery, and reconnection. Her hope is to make wellness feel less lonely, less serious, and a lot more fun.
CHRIS DAVIS, LMT
Chris is an orthotherapist whose hands-on instincts for healing showed up long before any formal training. He specializes in orthotherapy, a clinical approach that combines orthopedic massage and kinesitherapy to treat musculoskeletal dysfunction, restore balance, and resolve pain. Holding a BA from Georgetown and an MBA from Boston University, Chris trained in clinical massage at the Barberio School of Massage and has since pursued rigorous specialty certifications across orthopedic medical massage, prenatal care, advanced cupping, and kinesiology taping.
KEVIN DAVIS, LAC
Kevin is a licensed mental health counselor in NJ specializing in attachment-based, nervous-system-informed psychotherapy. With graduate training from Seton Hall University and an undergraduate degree from Georgetown University, Kevin brings a uniquely integrative lens to his clinical work, weaving together attachment theory, polyvagal theory, evolutionary psychology, and contemporary neuroscience to help clients restore safety, connection, and resilience. Kevin works with adults and adolescents in the outpatient setting navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, attachment insecurity, and nervous system dysregulation.

FAQs
-
If you've been looking for a reason to get outside more, get away from your screens, tired of social events that revolve around bars, or you simply want to meet people who take their health seriously - yes, this is for you. You don't need a wellness background, a particular fitness level, or to know anyone. Most people show up alone the first time. The community does the rest!
-
Not because we're against either. Both have their place in a balanced life. We're intentional about this space because moderation is everything, and most environments make moderation harder, not easier. Here, we remove both variables entirely so your nervous system can fully show up, your attention can land somewhere real, and the connections you make are built on presence rather than habit. Most people don't realize how rarely they experience that until they do.
-
We get it - life doesn't pause completely. Designated phone-use areas are available if you need to step away for something important. We just ask that you try to keep it brief and return to the experience. The whole point is what happens when the phone is away.
-
The Weekly Walk is free every week, but our ReWild Live! experience will have ticketed attendance. Please follow our social media closely to stay informed when ticket sales drop and pricing details.
-
Dogs are welcome at the free Weekly Walks! However, out of respect for all attendees, dogs are not permitted at the ReWild Live! ticketed events. As for kids, ReWild experiences are adult-only for now, but family-friendly events are something we're actively working toward. Stay tuned!
-
Fitness attire is encouraged! One thing worth planning for: phones are stored in personal carrying pouches during the experience, so it could be helpful to bring a light bag to store your phone away. It's common practice and you'll see plenty of others doing the same.
-
We're a nature community, so a little drizzle doesn't stop us! However, for more severe or dangerous weather, we may make the call to postpone and any tickets will be credited toward a future event. We'll always communicate early so you're not left guessing.
-
We get it - life happens. Cancel more than 48 hours before the event and you'll receive a full refund, no questions asked. Cancellations within 48 hours are non-refundable. We plan our staffing, vendors, and logistics around registered attendance, so that window matters. We appreciate the understanding - it's what keeps the experience at the level it needs to be.
-
We collect emergency contact information during registration, and basic first aid is available on location. We take the environments we gather in seriously, and we take care of the people in them the same way. We also follow safety protocols for heat, hydration, and equipment use.
